Raahgiri Foundation is a non-governmental organisation on a mission to create sustainable and inclusive urban spaces that prioritise the safety, convenience, and happiness of all residents. This is achieved by focusing on reducing CO2 emissions and minimising road traffic deaths and injuries in order to create safe and environmentally conscious cities.

As cities grow and traffic congestion worsens, CO2 emissions soar, impacting our environment and contributing to the climate crisis. Roads make up the foundational fabric of our cities and yet, they are poorly designed and dangerous. Every single day, road accidents cause untold suffering, affecting families and communities. Raahgiri Foundation’s approach seeks to combat these challenges through practical and people- oriented strategies. By making streets safe, accessible, and sustainable, we make our cities more liveable and vibrant while also protecting our own future on this planet.

Road Safety: Using the Safe Systems Approach to design safer streets in order to reduce the possibility of accidents and the deadliness if they do occur.
Public Health: By creating Low Emission Zones, promoting walking and cycling, and reducing pollution, we bolster public health and make our communities more active.
